01

Pink and Denim Day

Baruch Women in Business is excited to host our annual fundraising initiative in support of the American Cancer Society’s fight against breast cancer! Through fun activities, raffles, and community donations, we aim to spread awareness, bring students together, and make a real difference. This past school year, we raised nearly $1,500- our biggest total yet- and we’re aiming even higher next year! We also collected over 50 pounds of denim from our community, which will be recycled into eco-friendly “Go Green Blue Jeans” and donated to St. Mary’s clothing drives.

Every dollar raised helps fund research, patient support programs, and advocacy led by the American Cancer Society. Together, we can make a difference by supporting those affected by Breast Cancer and working toward a future without it.

02

Pearls of Wisdom Conference

The 2025 18th Annual Pearls of Wisdom Leadership Conference--Crowning Achievements, featured facilitated networking sessions between professional guests and undergraduate students. While Crowning Achievements takes inspiration from beauty pageants, it serves as a metaphor for success in professional and personal growth. This event is a celebration of the 'crowning moments' in our lives. Each panelist and attendee defined their own “crowning moment”, showcasing their different kinds of achievements and milestones that deserve plentiful recognition.

In tradition with previous years, our conference had a dedicated cause, the Spring 2025 conference donated to The American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society is the leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision of ending cancer as we know it, for everyone. It is the largest organization working to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

Attendees had the option of receiving raffle tickets for the raffle giveaways during the conference upon making a donation for a chance to win items sponsored by small businesses in NYC. All proceeds raised went to support The American Cancer Society.

Resilient, Independent, Strong, Empowered

R.I.S.E. (Resilient, Independent, Strong, Empowered) is one of Women in Business’s largest annual fundraisers, dedicated to supporting organizations that uplift and empower women worldwide. Each spring, our community comes together to raise awareness and funds through engaging activities, raffle ticket sales, and generous donations from sponsors and local small businesses.

Last spring, WIB proudly supported girls’ education, with all proceeds donated to the Malala Fund, which works to ensure every girl has access to 12 years of free, safe, and quality education. Together, we raised nearly $1,000 through raffles, sponsorships, and student participation.

This spring, R.I.S.E. will expand its focus to include a variety of causes, from education and healthcare to advocacy, safety, and economic empowerment. Each year, we choose organizations whose missions align with our commitment to building a world where women are truly resilient, independent, strong, and empowered.

Style Your Success Fashion Show

The Style Your Success (SYS) Charity Fashion Show has been named Best Social Event for two years in a row at the annual Bernies Awards, hosted by the Baruch CollegeUndergraduate Student Government.

Every year, SYS welcomes between 100–200 guests both in person and online, including Baruch students, faculty, alumni, and supporters. The show features four segments, highlighting outfits that range from Business Professional to Business Casual, giving the audience a clear idea of what to wear in different professional settings.

Along with the fashion segments, the event includes raffles, auctions, and live performances, creating an engaging and exciting experience for everyone. Most importantly, all proceeds are donated to the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life to support cancer research and provide resources for those in need.

Celebrating its 17th year in 2025, SYS continues to bring the Baruch community together while

making a positive difference both on campus and beyond.
